Day 28
Ephesians 1:13–14 (NIV)
And you also were included in Christ when you heard the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation. When you believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God’s possession—to the praise of his glory.
You also were included….
It is likely, at some point in your life, you felt excluded. Maybe you were the one kid who didn’t get the invite to the birthday party or maybe you can still recall that one time you didn’t make the team or you felt like the last person to be told the news.
But you are included in Christ!
Not only are you included, but you are marked with a seal - the Holy Spirit! This is abundance. God rescues us and includes us in His kingdom, then He goes above and beyond and abundantly blesses us with His very presence - the Holy Spirit!
And there is more! The Holy Spirit is sort of a down payment, a deposit guaranteeing our eternal life and all the blessings that come with living with God in the world to come.
With the Holy Spirit, you have the very presence of God, always-available help, guidance, comfort, teaching and truth! Talk about abundance!
