Get Involved

At Project Backpack, we firmly believe that together we can make a significant impact on the lives of these children. We invite you to join us in our mission to alleviate hunger and provide hope for the future. There are several ways you can get involved and support Project Backpack:

Donate

Your generous contributions directly support our efforts to purchase food for the students. We rely on donations from area businesses and individuals to keep our program running smoothly. You can make a difference by making a financial contribution. To donate, you can make checks payable to Project Backpack or conveniently contribute online at thelakeswaupaca.com/give (be sure to select “Project Backpack” from the drop-down menu).

Volunteer

We are incredibly grateful for the dedicated team of over 100 volunteers who selflessly give their time each week throughout the year. If you have a passion for helping others and would like to make a tangible difference, consider becoming a Project Backpack volunteer. Your assistance is invaluable in packing groceries, labeling items, and delivering food to the schools. To learn more about volunteer opportunities, please contact one of our coordinators, Cathy Iverson at 859-940-5904 or Tina Brunner at 920-867-4764.

Spread the Word

Help us raise awareness about the issue of childhood hunger in our community. Share our mission and the impact we’re making through Project Backpack with your friends, family, and colleagues. By spreading the word, you can inspire others to get involved and support this crucial cause.
